This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, James Bruin who was born in United Kingdom on February 22, 1986 and passed away on January 09, 2006 at the age of 19. We will remember him forever. Thanks for visiting James's site and may this bring you comfort in the long years to come.

IF I KNEW

If I knew that it would be the last time that I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the lord your soul to keep.

If I knew that it would be the last time that I would see you walk out the door
I would give you a hug and a kiss and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word so i could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day
well I'm sure you'll have so many more so I can let just this one slip away.
For surley there's always tomorrow to make up for an oversight
and we always have a second chance to make everything just right
there will always be another day to say "I love you"
and certainly there's another chance to say "Anything I Can Do?"
but just incase i might be wrong and today is all I get
i'd like to say how much I Love You and i hope we never forget.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone young or old alike
and today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight
so if your waiting for tomorrow why not do it today?
for if tomorrow never comes you'll surley regret the day
that you didn't make the extra time for a smile, a hug or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone what turned out to be their last one wish.
So hold your loved ones close today and whisper in their ear
tell them how much you love them and that you'll always hold them dear
take the time to say  "I'm Sorry","Please Forgive Me", "Thank You" or "It's okay"
and if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about the day.

James,
I've been thinking about what to put loads and it came to it that I have a lot to say. When I first wrote the poem to you it had a little note at the bottom, well here's a new one for you to read.
What I really have to say is that I wish i would have read the poem properly and taken in all the words, maybe then there wouldn't be regrets.
I would like to say how much I love you and I want your forgivness for all my mistakes.
You taught me alot and I'd like to say thanks, you were there for me in more ways you thought, just knowing you was round the corner was comforting.
 My last words to you was bye, the only thing missing was the words, I love you, but I was mad at you still (I forgive you now by the way! ha).
I love you James, and that I know will last forever.
